Ethnodemographic Model

Experimental comparative model. These categories are editorial demographic groupings, not official UN classifications or biological categories. Definitions vary across national censuses.

The project has explored working categories such as White/European-origin, Hispanic/Latino, African-origin, Asian and Middle Eastern/MENA. These are not official UN ethnic categories and are not globally standardised. The model exists to make these limitations visible — not to produce false precision.

Editorial Rules

  4. 04Use self-identification and ancestry data where possible.
  5. 05Record country-specific definitions.
  6. 06Show a confidence grade.
  7. 07Never rank groups by superiority, intelligence, worth, criminality or entitlement.
  8. 08Do not present population change as evidence of inherent group threat.
  9. 09Migration-neutral models must be labelled analytical scenarios.
  10. 10Do not publish global headline totals until the Data Editor verifies underlying composition.
Method Under Review

Global headline totals are not displayed until the Data Editor verifies the underlying composition. When a number cannot be supported responsibly, the correct display is "methodology under review".
